9/9: The filtered water machine in the 3rd Floor room has been replaced with a new one. The dryer vents in the 3rd Floor room were supposedly cleaned by Mercy Maintenance, but please let us know if they are still not drying clothes in a timely manner. If you notice anything else not working correctly, please call the on-call phone number!
Maintenance Updates
3rd Floor Update
We are asking volunteers to call Justin, Nurse Manager at 314-251-9718 if any Mercy staff person comes in and helps themselves to snacks or any items in the Family Room and just let him know. We do not want any of our volunteers to get into arguments with these staff members, so please do not feel like you must stop them.
* If they let you know it is for a patient family, please just ask the patient's name and let them take or do what they need.

Importance of Signing In + Out
Mercy Volunteer & Guest Services automatically inactivate volunteers who have not logged their hours in over 30 days (you will get a pop-up saying your PIN is invalid). They do not keep track of our FR schedules so they do not know you are volunteering if you do not log your hours - this is why it's very important you log in when you arrive for your shift. After 90 days of not logging hours, you will be terminated as a volunteer and will have to go through their onboarding process again, which takes about two weeks.
Did something stop working?
If something stops working and needs to be placed "OUT OF ORDER" during your shift, please call the on-call phone number (314-930-5292) or email familyroom@rmhcstl.org
IMMEDIATELY! Your communication is the ONLY way we will know that something is broken and needs to be repaired or replaced.
Exceed Link
Mercy does not allow us to bookmark sites on the volunteer computer. Please use the link for Exceed below if needed!

Bleach Tabs
Continue to use the bleach tabs between each wash cycle be to allow the washer to be sanitized between each wash. The # of tabs to use per cycle is listed inside of the cabinet for you to reference.
Please let us know ASAP once you notice we are running low on bleach tabs so we can plan accordingly!
